Simplify the following using K-Map

$F(A,B,C,D)=\sum(0,2,5,7,8,10,13,15)$





Solution

Given minterms are:

$0,2,5,7,8,10,13,15$

In binary form:

$0=0000,\ 2=0010,\ 8=1000,\ 10=1010$

Here, $B=0$ and $D=0$

So, group gives:

$B'D'$

Also,

$5=0101,\ 7=0111,\ 13=1101,\ 15=1111$

Here, $B=1$ and $D=1$

So, group gives:

$BD$

Therefore,

$F=BD+B'D'$
