To determine the number of bits required to represent the virtual address space:
  • Number of pages = 1K = $2^10$.
  • Page size = 2 KB = $2^{11}$ bytes.
  • Virtual address space = Number of pages × Page size = $2^{10}×2^{11}=2^{21}$ bytes.
  • Bits required =21 bits.
